Chairman of Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the party has become weak due to the arrogance of the leaders. He said this while addressing a program organized in Siraha on Saturday during the public awareness campaign.

He alleges that, apart from the pride of the Maoists from the victory of 2064, local and foreign elements also conspired to weaken them. "We got arrogant, there was a conspiracy against us," he said, "but now we have moved forward."

He claimed that the Maoists will return in 2064 saying that when the Maoists are weak in the country, the parties in the government are trying to destroy the achievements. Dahal said that Madhesh and Madheshi were treated like second-class citizens by yesterday's autocratic feudal state and it continues even now. He also said that prosperity is not possible unless every citizen of the country can be treated equally.

He claimed that the parties in the government have always misbehaved with the Madhesh, and the Madhesh parties are only using the Madhesh and that the savior of the Madhesh is the Maoist.
