Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala met the family of Prakriti Lamsal, who died at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) College in Orissa, India.

Koirala reached Lamsal Niwas at Bhairahwa in Rupandehi and met Prakriti's family on Saturday. He said that the government and the Congress have taken the incident of Prakriti's death very seriously and have drawn the attention of the relevant agencies to conduct a fair investigation of the incident.

Koirala also said that all the Nepali students studying in the said college are taking necessary steps to return to the hostel easily, for living environment and studies.

Koirala accompanied Joint Chief Minister Jeevan Periyar, Federal MP Surendra Acharya, Lumbini Province Tourism Minister Prachanda Bikram Neupane, Congress Lumbini Province General Minister Bikram Khanal to meet Lamsal's family.
