A woman has been arrested on the charge of murdering her lover with an ax to hide an extramarital affair. Police arrested 24-year-old Anita Kumari Yadav of Sirsia, Mithila Bihari-6 on the charge of murdering 33-year-old Shahid Ansari of Kamala municipality-6 Sigyahi Madan last November 27.

Yadav, who was arrested, is being further investigated by the Dhanusha District Court.

Anita's husband Rajkishore Yadav, another accused in the Ansari murder, has reached Saudi Arabia for foreign employment after the murder. The police claim that Ansari came home on 15 November 2081 with a plan to kill him. Superintendent of Police Bhuvneshwar Tiwari said that the process of bringing the accused Yadav to Nepal has been advanced.

Ansari's body was found under the Khaira Khola bridge under the Janakpur-Dhanushadham road section on January 4. Ansari returned to Nepal from Qatar on November 26. Ansari, who returned to Nepal, came to Mithila Bihari-6 Sirsia to meet his girlfriend Anita without going home. According to the preliminary investigation, Ansari was taken hostage at home and killed with an ax in the bedroom on November 27th at 11:00 pm.

According to the police, Anita had already planned to kill Ansari with her husband. It was Anita who prepared the medical report that Ansari's wife was sick and sent it to Saudi. Based on the same report, Ansari returned to Nepal on emergency leave. He was killed before reaching home.
