Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that collective efforts are necessary to increase the quality of education. Addressing the 29th International Conference of Nepal English Language Teachers Association in Lalitpur on Thursday, he said that collective efforts should be made to increase the quality of education through curriculum development, teacher training and policy advocacy.
Saying that there have been more positive changes in the field of education now than in the past, he said that it is good to be able to get quality education in Nepal.
He also requested the association to contribute in the field of English language policy and English language education in the reform of educational policy. I believe that increasing the quality of education through the creation of new educational policies, curriculum development, teacher training and policy advocacy should be a collective effort. "We have to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to ensure continuous improvement in curriculum, learning materials and teaching methods," Deputy Prime Minister Singh said.
Since its establishment in 1992, Deputy Prime Minister Singh praised the role played by the association in advancing English language education in Nepal. The conference which started today will end on Saturday.
