Appreciation of Nepali Army by British Army Chief

British Army Chief, Chief of the General Staff General Sir Rolly Walker has praised the Nepali Army. On the occasion of the 262nd Foundation Day of the Nepali Army in London, Chief of Army Staff Roli, who participated as the chief guest in a special ceremony organized at the embassy on Wednesday evening, expressed his happiness at the lasting relationship between the Nepali and British forces and praised the unwavering dedication, loyalty and professionalism shown by the Nepali Army.

"On the 262nd foundation day of the Nepalese army, it is a happy moment for me to participate in the program with you here. I am really proud of the contribution made by the Nepalese army with its excellent participation in the United Nations," he said. On that occasion, General Walker promised that the British Army would provide more support and cooperation to the Nepali Army in the future. He said that Nepali Army's contribution to the protection and promotion of Nepal's sovereignty, geographical integrity and national interest is significant. "The relationship between Nepal and the United Kingdom has become close on the basis of mutual agreement, cooperation and brotherhood," he said. 

Ambassador Ghimire recalled the important history of the Nepali Army and the long-standing relationship with the British Army and praised the British government for its continuous support to Nepal and the Nepali Army.

Colonel Anup Shah, military attaché of the embassy, ​​remembered the unwavering sacrifices of the Nepalese army in the decisive moments of history and said that the Nepalese army is committed to its professional religion.
