Member of Parliament Gyan Bahadur Shahi raised the issue in the parliament that the government has not appointed chief administrative officers at most of the local levels and that the employees of some municipalities have not been paid. He objected that the financial equalization grant allocated for the local level through the budget of the current fiscal year 2081/82 was cut after the half-yearly review.
