The police detained 4 people on suspicion of protesting at the event attended by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. They were detained by the police on the suspicion of protesting against the inauguration of the newly constructed dental college building of Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Jorpati.

According to Information Officer SP Appelraj Bohra of District Police Complex, Kathmandu, Raju Sunuwar, Kiran KC, Mohan Shrestha and Rajesh Dahal have been detained. SP Bohra said, 'They called on social media to cancel the program in which the Prime Minister will participate. So we have taken them under control.'

All four people have been kept in the police circle. Prime Minister Oli has inaugurated the building. The police say that they were not left because the program was going on. Minister of Health and Population Pradeep Paudel, members of the House of Representatives and others are participating in the program.
