Speaker Devraj Ghimire has instructed to remove the words of MP Swarnim Wagle who paid 'tribute to the family' of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal, who died suspiciously at KIIT University in Odisha Bhubaneswari, India. Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada demanded that the word be removed.

MP Khatiwada objected to the rules in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday saying that MP Wagle should have paid tribute to the deceased Lamsal. Khatiwada demanded that the words spoken by MP Wagle be removed from the records of the Parliament. "We were all worried about the death of Prakriti Lamsal, but an honorable person has made a record in the parliament as a tribute to the whole family. On February 6, Swarnim Wagle said that the word should be removed,' said Khatiwada.

MP Wagle said in the House of Representatives meeting on February 6, 'Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal has passed away untimely in KIIT. I and our party have expressed our heartfelt condolences to the family.'

MP Wagle's statement has been requested to be removed from the record of Parliament. After MP Khatiwada made that demand, Speaker Devraj Ghimire instructed the Parliament Secretariat to correct it. Attention has been drawn to the matter raised by the member. If that has happened, I will instruct the Parliament Secretariat to correct it,' said the speaker.
