Maoist's 'Tarai Madesh Awakening Campaign' from today

The main opposition party CPN-Maoist Center is starting 'Tarai Madesh Jagran Abhiyan' from today. The campaign which starts from Kachankawal in Jhapa will end by reaching Kanchanpur.

Leaders including President Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Vice President Agni Prasad Sapkota, Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun and Janardhan Sharma have reached Jhapa to launch the campaign.

 The campaign will start from Jhapa on Monday and will proceed through Morang, Sunsari. The Maoist Center has said that it is going to conduct the Terai Madhesh Awakening Campaign to protect the Constitution and prepare the basis for the socialist revolution through the path of good governance, social justice and prosperity while warning against the danger of regression. During the

campaign, the leaders have said that they will oppose and destroy the government's tendency to protect brokers, middlemen and corrupt people. As part of the campaign, there are programs in Morang on Tuesday and Sunsari on Thursday. 

Programs will be held in Saptari on 16th February, Sirha on 17th, Dhanusha on 18th, Mahottari on 19th, Sarlahi on 21st, Rautahat on 22nd, Bara on 23rd and Parsa on 24th. The Jagran Sabha will be conducted in Parasi (Nawalparasi West) on February 27, Rupandehi on February 28, Kapilvastu on February 2, Dang on the 3rd, Banke on the 4th, Bardia on the 5th, Kailali on the 6th and Kanchanpur on the 7th. 

President Dahal has said that the campaign was conducted to expose the government's recent wrongdoings and against the autocratic trend of running the state through ordinances and leading the country to a two-party dictatorship.
