Courtesy call by representatives of NCC visiting party from India, Bhutan and Maldives with Prime Minister

The team of 'National Cadet Corps' (NCC) from India, Bhutan and Maldives who came to Nepal to participate in the youth exchange program 2025 with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today had a courtesy call.

The team that came to participate in the youth exchange program to be organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of Mahashivratri and the 262nd annual celebration of the establishment of the Nepali Army met with Prime Minister Oli at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Oli said that through the youth exchange program, the Nepali Army is strengthening mutual relations with the armies of the friendly countries and creating a golden opportunity to exchange skills, culture and traditions among the cadets. He expressed his belief that such programs will create a greater understanding and appreciation of social, economic and cultural realities among themselves, thus making mutual relations more harmonious and conveying the message that the whole world is one community. Prime Minister Oli wished that the participants would be inspired to become an energetic, honorable and dynamic youth of the future, as the process of learning by studying, observing and experiencing the realities of life continues. NCC has also been developing and promoting qualities such as nationalism, patriotism, leadership, self-confidence and national service among the youth.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Executive Director General of Nepal's National Service Dal Uparthi Yam Prasad Dhakal, Director General of India's NCC Gurvir Pal Singh, Director of Bhutan Scout Association Sange Choden, Head of Maldives delegation Rifan Ali and others participated.
