Four Nepali people were killed when a Scorpio riding a Nepalese pilgrim returning from bathing in the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India, met with an accident on Friday night.

Among the dead are three people from Saptari and one from Sunsari. Lilavati Choudhary and Parasuram Choudhary of Kanchanrup Municipality-7 of Saptari died in an accident, the Ward President Shyamanand Choudhary informed. 

Harihardevi, wife of Jitu Yadav of the same Municipality 5, also died. On the other hand, Sunsari SP Suman Timilsina informed that 60-year-old Santoliadevi Yadav of Koshi rural municipality-2 of Sunsari also died in the same accident. 

According to the Saptari police, Upendra Narayan Chaudhary of Kanchanrupan Napa 7, Lalodevi Yadav, Jitu Yadav of Ward No. 5, Papit Lal Chaudhary of Chaudandigarhi Municipality of Udaipur and his wife Bina Devi Chaudhary were injured in the accident.

The accident took place on Gorakhpur Link Road under Bansgaon police station area of ​​Uttar Pradesh. The accident happened when the Scorpio hit the trolley behind the tractor.

Dainik Bhaskar reports that the body was taken to the district hospital for post-mortem. The injured are being treated at the same hospital.
