Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba headed the Nepali delegation to Geneva, Switzerland on Saturday to participate in the 58th high-level session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai and senior officials of the Ministry bid farewell to him at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday evening.

Minister Deuba will address the high-level session to be held from February 12th to 14th.  During the

visit, he is scheduled to meet with his counterparts from different countries as well as heads of United Nations agencies and other distinguished persons, according to his secretariat. During the visit, Minister Deuba will take initiative to support Nepal's candidacy for the tenure of the United Nations Human Rights Council from 2027 to 2029.

The Nepali delegation led by Minister Deuba includes senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, and the Nepali Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. He is scheduled to return home on February 16.
