Lumbini State Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya has said that now is not the time to make negative comments about the state government. He claimed that after the establishment of the provincial structure, the work of physical and human development has accelerated and citizens are also adopting it.
Chief Minister Acharya said that the state government is on the side of the people in Kantipur Television's 'Mukhyamantri se Kantipur' program. "It is important to evaluate the state government that is moving to Bame not by emotion, but by being realistic," he said, "justice can only be done by comparing the development before and after the establishment of the state government." He claims that after the establishment of the state structure, the face of the village has changed, roads have been paved, drinking water has reached homes, and citizen's access to basic health care has increased.
Chief Minister Acharya said that it is important to look at achievements such as the opening of schools at the village level and the opportunity to study technical subjects at the community level. He claimed that there has been a positive change in people's lives due to the state government. He said that the project of state pride has been accelerated. Chief Minister Acharya said that the state government is always ready to listen to the problems of the citizens and understand their concerns. The government was formed to understand the people's needs. The work is being done to solve the problem by making policies, rules and laws," he said. "There are still some things to be done, the government has paid attention to it." He also mentioned problems such as the state government is facing staff problems, the union government is cutting the equalization grant, and not being able to raise the internal debt as desired. Chief Minister Acharya says that he is speeding up physical and human development by taking the union and local government together. In the
program, Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Bhumishwar Dhakal said that they are committed to the development of the province by using the resources of the provincial government. Health Minister Khemraj Saru said that improvement of maternal health and child mortality rate in Lumbini province has been prioritized.
Minister of Industry, Tourism and Transport Prachanda Vikram Neupane informed that the plan is being worked on to bring tourists from India and other countries coming to Nepal to Lumbini Province. The participants of the
program said that the local level runs schools based on political interests rather than improving the quality of education, community schools are facing the problem of lack of physical infrastructure and skilled manpower.
