The central committee meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) scheduled to start today has been postponed.

Damodar Aryal, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department informed that the meeting scheduled to be held today and Friday at the Administrative Training Institute has been postponed to mourn the death of Vidur Sapkota, a member of the party politburo and co-incharge of Bagmati Province and member of the Constituent Assembly. He informed that the meeting has been moved to Friday and Saturday.

Sapkota, who was suffering from a liver disease, died at around 4 am today at the Helping Hand Hospital in Chabhil. The party issued a condolence statement and expressed its condolences to Sapkota and the bereaved family. His mortal body will be kept at the party central office for homage. 

It is said that in the central committee meeting, strengthening of the party's organization, review of the work done at the ward level, contemporary political issues, constitutional amendment, content of the ordinance, corruption, cooperation with the opposition party in issues related to people's livelihood will be discussed.
