Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the current government will make the democracy transparent and more accountable and will move forward against the challenges of inequality, poverty and corruption prevalent in the society. Addressing the ceremony held at Sainik Manch Tundikhel today on the occasion of National Democracy Day-2081, he clarified that the government's policy is to lead the country to prosperity by empowering the youth.
''Due to the light of democracy, we have been able to start public services to citizens quickly through digital means, which has started to make government services hassle-free and transparent,'' said Prime Minister Oli, 'We are using every moment, possibility and capacity in the campaign to achieve the goal of sustainable development within the year 2030 . Through this, we will succeed in fulfilling the national aspiration of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.'
Prime Minister Oli said that democracy is also the basis for upgrading Nepal from the status of least developed country by 2026 and increasing the economic indicators for its sustainable management. Stating that progress has been made in the lives of the people in the open field of democracy, he said that it is progressing in a harmonious manner by adjusting the rhythm between the growing public aspirations and challenges, and the institutional and capacity of the state.
Prime Minister Oli said, 'Our young generation is the future of the country . To provide them with education, health, employment and enterprise opportunities and entrepreneurship has been initiated through startups.' He called on everyone to unite and contribute to the campaign to fulfill the national aspirations of an effective governance system and order to ensure the country's good governance, development, prosperity and happiness of the people.
On February 7, Prime Minister Oli said that the future generation, who are emerging as the future, will not forget today's day. "For today's generation, which has grown up in the light of democracy and has become accustomed to receiving online services through modern information technology, the brutality of yesterday's regime is not an experience, it is only a story," he said.
Mentioning that the Jahanian ruler built a palace for his children, Prime Minister Oli said that democracy has built roads, bridges, bridges, electricity, commercial business centers, hospitals and schools for the people.
