Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has said that it is the need of the day to keep the federal democratic republic, equality, inclusiveness, secularism, rule of law, and sovereignty intact as provided in the Constitution of Nepal.
Giving his best wishes today on the occasion of National Democracy Day, 2081, he said that it is inevitable for us to move forward by ending poverty, discrimination, illiteracy and unemployment to make the federal democratic republic a success.
'Democracy should not be limited to the form of governance. Democracy should also be focused on making social ideals, character, tradition, culture, harmony and value in the country,' Vice President Yadav said in his congratulatory message, 'There is no privileged class in democracy, there is no discrimination against any person on the basis of caste, religion, caste, clan, wealth, gender etc. For the success of political democracy, its alliance with economic democracy is necessary.'
Mentioning that we have received the gift of democracy, democracy, federal democratic republic and freedom due to the struggle, sacrifice and unwavering determination of the elders, Vice President Yadav said on this occasion that everyone should be able to take a vow and firm decision to move forward with a sense of dedication for the rapid development, prosperity and social harmony of the country. Mentioning that the
day reminds and realizes the obligations, duties and responsibilities of making the federal democratic republic strong, strong and strong, the Vice President has expressed his belief that it will motivate people to act together in the direction of protecting the rights of all citizens, establishing a just society and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
As a result of the sacrificial struggle against Jahanian autocracy that lasted for one hundred and four years in the country, National Democracy Day is celebrated on February 7 every year as a reminder and honor of the historical achievement of the successful movement of 2007.
