Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged all political parties, civil society and concerned bodies to work continuously for the all-round development and prosperity of the country.

Expressing his best wishes on the occasion of the 75th National Democracy Day through social network X, he said that on this day when the autocratic Jahanian regime ended and democracy was established, Nepal and the Nepali people should be continuously active and united for prosperity. 

'National Democracy Day, which proved to be a milestone for Nepali, achieved success in the movement leading to the establishment of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal through multiple parties. Appreciating the sacrifices of all the martyrs, I believe that all political parties, civil society, concerned bodies and all of us Nepalis will agree to continue to struggle for the all-round development and prosperity of Nepal. I pay emotional tribute to all the known and unknown martyrs who lost their precious lives during the various movements for the establishment of democracy,' former President Bhandari wrote in X.
