There have been many vehicle accidents in January. According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, 4,535 vehicles were involved in accidents in January alone. So many vehicles were involved in a total of 2,906 accidents. 199 people died in that accident.

Central Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police Dineshar Kumar Acharya informed that most of the victims were motorcycles. According to him, among the total number of accidents in a month, there are only 2,474 motorcycles. This is 54.55 percent of the total accidents.

Then jeep cars and vans, micro 21.21 percent accidents have occurred. Among others, there were 53 accidents in buses, 6.2 trucks, tankers, 2.36 percent tractors and 5.18 percent tempos. Other vehicles such as dozers and loaders have also been found to be involved in accidents.

After that, more accidents have occurred due to driver's negligence and drunkenness. Accidents have also occurred when Batuwa crosses the road. There are 864 accidents due to driver's negligence, 204 accidents due to negligence.
