Gun demonstration by public opinion leader

The police have questioned the police after a photo and video of the central vice president of the Janmat Party and former food and water minister Abdul Khan and district in-charge Sheikh Jamshed walking between two people with guns on their shoulders were published on Facebook. Janmat Party's Rautahat in-charge Jamshed, who lives in Gaur municipality-6, uploaded the photo and video with the gun on Facebook on Sunday.

In addition to increasing public criticism, after being alerted by the police, Jamshed has removed the photos and videos from Facebook.

Former minister Janmat Neta Khan came to Jamshed's Sabgadha house on Saturday. Janmat central member Harpal Singh and Gujra municipality in-charge Mohammad Asabullah were also present. At that time, Khan and Jamsed were seen walking with armed men on both sides. Many people on social media have drawn the attention of the local police and administration demanding action against the public opinion leaders for displaying weapons.

DSP Deepak Kumar Rai of the district police office called Jamshed and said that he understood about the weapons license. According to him, Jamsed claims that there was a scene of cleaning weapons at home. DSP Rai said that both the guns posted on social media have licences. "We have warned them not to display weapons in this way," he said, "The licensed gun was being rotated inside the compound of the house." In the scene posted on Facebook, it does not appear that the weapon has been cleaned anywhere. He seems to be walking in a film style with a gun on his shoulder. In the

video, central member of Janmat Singh and city in-charge Asbullah are seen walking former minister Khan and district president Jamshed for some time with guns on their shoulders. Then former minister Khan and district president Jamshed sit on the chair. At that time, Singh and Asabullah stand to the right and left like bodyguards with their guns pointed. District in-charge of the party, Jamshed, posted a picture and video on Facebook of him welcoming with weapons saying 'Meeting with the National Vice President Honorable Abdul Khan'.

Jamshed said that it was a mistake to post photos and videos on social media. "When the guest came, I was cleaning the license weapon. It has happened. I did not demonstrate,' he said, 'I have removed it from Facebook.' Nitesh Gupta, head of communication of Congress Madhesh Province, said that action should be taken against those who display weapons given for personal protection. Weapons given for personal protection cannot be displayed. The former minister should be investigated in this incident, he said, and the weapons license should be revoked. Chief District Officer Hiralal Regmi said that he could not say anything now as it was a matter of police investigation.

Just a few days ago, the police arrested seven people for displaying weapons on their birthday. There is a legal provision to punish those who display weapons on social media or in public places.
