Former Finance Minister and Member of Parliament of the Maoist Center Varshman Pun has objected to the government's reduction of the allocated budget for blackening the 31 km road of Ghorahi-Rolpa section of Shahid Marg.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting at zero time on Sunday, Pun said that 680 million of the 1 billion 25 million allocated for the road section has been transferred. Pun said that the movement of the people of Dang, Rolpa and Rukum areas is becoming extremely difficult due to the deterioration of the road conditions due to the tippers of the cement industry.

In the current financial year 081/082, an amount of 1 billion 25 million rupees was arranged for the blackening of 31 km road of Ghorahi-Rolpa section of Shahid Marg. After the new government was formed recently, 680 million was transferred from that amount. I would like to draw the attention of the government to immediately award the contract for that section," Pun said, "Similarly, the movement of people in Dang, Rolpa and Rukum areas is becoming extremely difficult. The road has been damaged due to the tipper operated by the cement factory.'

He also drew the attention of the government saying why the government did not pay attention to the deteriorating condition of the road.
