Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Mayor Dhanraj Acharya of Pokhara Metropolitan City, who were injured when a balloon burst during the inauguration of Pokhara Visit Year 2025, have been brought to Kirtipur Hospital in Kathmandu for further treatment.

Minister Paudel and Mayor Acharya were brought to Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon by the Simric Air helicopter, according to Finance Minister Bhuvan KC.

After lighting the lamp from the remote control, the balloon burst with a loud noise when it was caught by the flickering fire. After the balloon burst, fire splashes touched the cheek of Metropolitan Mayor Acharya, while Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel's coat and hat were splashed with fire.
