Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Pokhara Metropolitan Chief Dhanraj Acharya were injured when a balloon burst due to the flame of the fire during the inauguration of Pokhara Visit Year 2025.
After lighting the lamp from the remote control, the balloon exploded with a loud noise after the flame caught the balloon while flying the balloon. After the balloon burst, fire splashes touched the cheeks of Metropolitan Mayor Acharya, while Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel's coat caught fire .
Metropolitan Mayor Acharya was taken to Fistel Hospital for treatment, his press coordinator Bhim Thapa informed.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel was also taken to Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital for treatment and he suffered minor injuries, said Bain Bahadur Adhikari Chhetri, Chairman of CPN (UML) Kaski.
