In the meeting of the ruling Congress-UML high-level mechanism, issues such as the ordinance to be submitted to the parliament and the functioning of the government were discussed.
According to Baluwatar sources, the ordinance to be submitted by the government was discussed in the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, on Friday evening. The government brought an ordinance related to cooperatives, economic and business environment improvement and investment enhancement, good governance promotion and public service delivery, amending some Nepal Acts related to land, privatization (first amendment), economic procedure and financial responsibility (first amendment) ordinance. But since there is no possibility of passing the ordinance related to land by the National Assembly, the ordinance has not been submitted to the Parliament.
After Janata Samajwadi rejected the land ordinance, the government hesitated to submit the ordinance in the parliament. According to sources, there was also a discussion on making the government's operations effective in the high-level meeting. A high-level discussion was held between the two parties when the government agencies did not work as expected.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka, UML Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Rimal are participating.
