The LOSPA participating in the government is also against the land ordinance

LOSPA, which is participating in the government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is also going to stand against the land ordinance.

LOSPA has also decided to stand in the opposition when the ruling coalition is already in the minority in the National Assembly.

LOSPA president Mahanth Thakur has issued a statement on Wednesday and informed that the decision to reject the land ordinance has been made. Our attention has been drawn to the land ordinance that the government is about to bring. While studying the contents of this Ordinance, we are of the opinion that the very poor and backward Dom, Musahar, Chamar, Dusadh, Santhal, Gangai, Rajvanshi, Ranatharu and other completely agricultural poor communities will be deprived of its scope of achievement and this Ordinance will promote the tendency of deforestation and illegal occupation,' said Thakur, 'Our clear opinion is that this Ordinance is against the interests of the people. is . In such a situation, LOSPA Nepal has decided that it cannot support this ordinance as it is, and requests information from all concerned.'

Sharatsingh Bhandari is the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security from LOSPA in the UML-Congress government. LOSPA has taken the decision to reject the ordinance recommended by the council of ministers in which he also participated. Jaspa, which has supported the government, had already decided to reject the land ordinance and to support other ordinances with conditions.

30 MPs are needed for a majority in the 59-member National Assembly. There are 27 MPs including 16 MPs from Congress, 10 MPs from UML and 1 nominated MP in favor of the ordinance. There are 30 MPs against the ordinance including 17 from Maoist, 8 from United Socialist Party, 3 from Jaspa Nepal, 1 from LOSPA and 1 from Rashtriya Janamorcha. Vamdev Gautam, nominated by the President, has also expressed his opposition to the ordinance. In such a situation, it is seen that the ordinance brought by the government will not be accepted .

The government brought 6 ordinances related to cooperatives, economic and business environment improvement and investment enhancement, good governance promotion and public service delivery, amending some Nepal Acts related to land, privatization (first amendment), economic procedure and financial responsibility (first amendment) ordinance. Since there is no possibility of being accepted in the parliament, the proposal to 'accept' has not been presented in the parliament .
