The police have arrested 6 people, including Rai's son and daughter-in-law, for being involved in the murder of 51-year-old Dhanraj Rai of Suryodaya Municipality-11 Suntale, Ilam.
Dhanraj's 29-year-old son Edward Rai, along with his daughter-in-law (Edward's) 26-year-old Malti Tamang (Rai) have been arrested, according to District Police Office Ilam.
Other 4 people who were injured are 24-year-old neighbor Naveen Kumar Rai, 26-year-old Nissan Rai, 20-year-old Rajeev Rai and 23-year-old Diwas Rai, Elam's Superintendent of Police (SP) Eknarayan Koirala informed.
After Dhanraj's dead body was found in a secret room of his house in Bhuitla on January 28, the police started investigation .
Koirala also says that 6 people, including son and daughter-in-law, have been arrested and an investigation has been started on the suspicion that the deceased had a large and deep injury on the front and back of the head, blood was covered in the room and a spade, an iron rod and a tall zinc object were found.
The police said that they were arrested on Monday evening and the investigation was started by the district court on Tuesday with an extension of 8 days.
