CPN (Maoist Centre) chief whip Hitraj Pandey has objected to the fact that the government has removed the anti-corruption bill from the agenda of the parliament.
Speaking during the emergency session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he objected that the government went against the agenda set by the Working Arrangement Consultative Committee. He also accused the government of minimizing and disregarding the parliament.
He said, "In the overall activities of the Parliament, the government is minimizing the Parliament." is being ignored. On the 15th of this month, we discussed the agenda of today's meeting. According to the provisions of the regulations, we made a work schedule on the 15th of this month from the meeting of the work arrangement committee. According to the work schedule, we talked about the presentation and passing of the anti-corruption bill in today's meeting. Yesterday we also discussed today's executive. Today we were informed that the agenda was removed as we did not have time to come to the parliament.'
He said that the parliament will do whatever the government says, or that the government should follow the content created by this organization which is the representative of the people? He also asked a question. He accused the government of breaking the practice and tradition of the parliament even when it presented the bill related to legislation.

It was mentioned that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will present a proposal to discuss the amendment bill related to the Prevention of Corruption Act along with the report of the State Order and Good Governance Committee in the meeting on Tuesday. But after the bill was removed from the agenda at the last moment, the main opposition party objected.
