The houses built by encroaching on the land of the Nepali Army have been removed. Chief District Officer Shivram Gelal said that 39 houses built by the locals encroaching around Melung Rural Municipality-6 Tudikhel for a long time have been removed.

The Ghartahara built by encroaching on the land of the Nepali Army was removed by the Garuda Dal of the Nepali Army, the Janpad and the armed police. He said that the houses built on the army land were demolished with dozers.

"We have started work as part of the campaign to remove encroachment by issuing notices to demolish houses built on public land," he said, "we have asked to remove and not build permanent and temporary structures from areas where public land has been encroached." In 2018, Melung, which is an administrative unit of two districts, was removed as the headquarters after the political division in the same year.

The Garudadal Gana of the Nepali Army requested the administration to remove the encroachment on its land for conducting training. In Melung, 69 acres of land has been acquired in the name of the Nepali Army. After the encroachment is removed, the Garudadal Gana has said that it will conduct training.
