The government has started giving labor permits from abroad as well. The Nepali Embassy in Muscat has started this service from Salalah in Oman since last Friday.

According to a press release issued by the embassy on Tuesday, direct dialogue with the ambassador, labor awareness, financial literacy, social security fund membership and passport-consular special programs were held in Salalah last Friday and Saturday.

Ambassador Dornath Aryal and Director General of Foreign Employment Department Surya Bahadur Khatri jointly granted work permits to Nepalis who reached Oman through various means but did not have work permits.

On that occasion, Ambassador Aryal said that he is ready to provide all kinds of support for the protection of the rights and interests of Nepali workers. It is mentioned in the statement that Director General Khatri has warned about the problems of coming abroad without a work permit.
