Chitralekha Yadav, the Nepalese ambassador to Australia, has submitted her certificate of appointment. Yadav presented his certificate of eligibility to the Governor General of Australia, Sam Moston, in a special program organized at the Governor's House in the capital, Canberra, on Tuesday.
In the program, Yadav gave the message of President Ramchandra Poudel to Governor General Moston and also gave a formal invitation to visit Nepal. He was honored with a guard of honor in the event, the embassy said in a statement. The Embassy also informed that the issue of deepening and sustaining bilateral relations and trust was discussed in the
program. Governor General Moston wished Ambassador Yadav for a successful tenure. The
program was attended by high-ranking officials of the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while other officials from the embassy in Canberra participated. Talking to Kantipur after the program, Ambassador Yadav said that the main purpose of her tenure is to increase mutual relations and cooperation between the two countries and work for the benefit of Nepal and Nepali people.
She said that consular services here will be made faster and more efficient to address the problems and difficulties of Nepalis in Australia. "Since I have come as an ambassador of Nepal and all the Nepalis here, I will focus on the problems of the Nepalis living here and making the relationship between the two countries more harmonious," she said.
Yadav said that during her tenure, she will speed up the work of building an embassy, advance the work of air service between Nepal and Australia and initiate high-level political visits.
