Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has said that it is necessary for everyone to cooperate to reduce cervical cancer. Addressing a program organized on the occasion of World Cancer Day in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Health Minister Paudel said that a lot of work remains to be done to prevent cancer.
"Especially, we need to do a lot of work to prevent cancer. It is necessary for us to work in the therapeutic field as well. It is also necessary to work in the prevention area. Today, many of my mothers, my sisters, my counterpart friends have died of uterine cancer. We have the data of 4 deaths per day. This is terrible. Nepal's goal is how to reduce it and bring it to a state of resolution. It is necessary to take all initiatives to bring it to the level of resolution," he said.
Minister Paudel said that although there is a desire to work, there is a lack of necessary resources and means, if there is cooperation, cancer can be reduced.
