Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that the results of his efforts to improve the standard of public schools in his constituency are beginning to be seen. He also said that the government has emphasized on the physical structure and educational quality of community schools.
At the 77th anniversary ceremony of Padmakanya Vidyashram Secondary School on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Singh expressed his happiness that the community schools in Kathmandu Region No. 1 have succeeded in providing quality education.
He said that ever since he was elected from Kathmandu 1 in the Constituent Assembly elections in 2064, he has been emphasizing on the physical structure and educational quality of community schools. "To improve the standard of all public schools in Kathmandu-1, we have worked together to build infrastructure at all three levels of government. In our constituency, public schools are no less than private ones. I am happy to hear good results,' he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Singh promised to play a necessary role in making community schools more effective as a public representative. He mentioned that along with quality education, community school students are also doing well in extracurricular activities. He also said that the elected union, state and local people's representatives are working together to make the school better.
