President Ramchandra Paudel on the occasion of Vasant Panchami visited Nasal Chowk at Hanumandho Palace in Basantpur on Monday morning and performed Vasant Shravan. In a special ceremony held at Nasalchowk in Hanumandhoka Darbar, the original priest of Hanumandhoka Karka Adda offered Abhishek, Tika, rosary and flower prasad to the President.

 Since ancient times, there is a tradition of listening to Basant Panchami on the day of Basant Panchami from the President and Head of Government. On that occasion, a unit of the Nepali Army saluted the President.

President Paudel also worshiped Saraswati, the goddess of learning, on that occasion. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli,   Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Speaker Narayan Dahal, Minister Gan and  There was the presence of distinguished dignitaries.

Goddess of knowledge Saraswati is worshiped on Vasant Panchami and it is believed that listening to Vasant Shravan will bring happiness, peace and prosperity.
