Before the Prime Minister and President of UML KP Sharma Oli, UML's Central Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Department and National Cooperative Federation Limited Nepal have suggested to amend some provisions of the recently issued ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to cooperatives through a replacement bill.

At the Prime Minister's residence, Khagraj Adhikari, the head of UML's Central Cooperative Department and Federation President, Om Devi Malla, handed over a letter of recommendation to the Prime Minister on Saturday.

It has been requested to amend the provisions of the ordinance that a person cannot be elected for a period of more than two terms and cannot remain in office as a director of a cooperative organization whose main business is savings and loans.

Prime Minister Oli's secretariat has informed that the issues presented through the replacement bill will be discussed and the ruling parties should also be consulted on the issues brought to the attention of the government.
