Narayankaji Shrestha, MP of CPN (Maoist Center) in the National Assembly, has accused the government of turning the Bill Ordinance into an ordinance session. He made this accusation while speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Friday.
Shrestha, who is also the former deputy prime minister, said that it is sad that the government brought an ordinance and held an ordinance session before the winter session. He said that it is sad that the regular session is not convened and the ordinance is brought in a hurry. He objected that the government has taken the tendency to rule by ordinance.
The government made this convention an ordinance convention. The winter session, not calling the regular session on time, pushing it, and issuing ordinances in a hurry, 6 ordinances were issued before this session was convened. And now that ordinance is being implemented. The government tried to make the bill superseded by the ordinance. I am sorry for that. I want to strongly object to this trend of ruling by the government's ordinance," he said. MP Shrestha said that the development of the country should be done without the ruling party or the opposition party.
