At present, the western wind is influencing the country and the weather is clear in the hilly parts of Koshi and Gandaki regions, while the rest is partly cloudy. The Department of Water and Meteorology has informed that many places in the Terai are affected.

According to the department, the weather will remain clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali regions this afternoon with partly to mostly cloudy weather. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan parts of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be clear in the rest of the hilly areas of the country tonight. In the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, the weather will remain clear in the remaining areas. 

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. In addition, the department said that there is a possibility of thunderstorms in many places of Terai on Friday morning. As daily life, agriculture, health, transportation and aviation may be affected, it has requested all concerned to exercise caution.
