Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid tribute to the martyrs who visited the Martyr's Memorial and Shahidgate in Lainchour. Today, on the occasion of Martyr's Day, he paid floral tributes to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy and republic.

Martyrs' Day is being celebrated across the country today with various programs in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment and restoration of democracy and freedom in different eras. After the year 2007, Martyr's Day is celebrated every year on 16th of January with various programs.

During this, Deputy Prime Minister, Cabinet, MPs of various political parties, Chief Secretary of Nepal Government, Head of Security, Deputy Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City paid their respects to the martyrs. A special Martyr's Day ceremony will be organized today at the Singhdarbar complex under the chief hospitality of Prime Minister Oli.
