Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that through the inspiration of the martyrs' sacrifices, we will get the energy to work for change.
On the occasion of National Martyrs' Day, 2081, Prime Minister Oli said that the great martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the end of the Rana regime and for democracy in different eras are important for the country.
Prime Minister Oli mentioned that the federal democratic republic was achieved in the country through the sacrifice and inspiration of the martyrs and that the source of all power in this system is the sovereign people. He stated that they are working hard to make this system strong and sustainable and emphasized that the representatives of the people should work with that spirit for real and complete democracy. He said that since there has been a change in the political system, the series of murders of those engaged in a peaceful movement to defend the dictatorial regime has ended. He said that the current government is clearly moving towards the goal of a prosperous Nepal and a happy Nepali in accordance with the just laws to protect the democratic system and process.
'We have established democracy through a long struggle. Democracy is not anarchy. It is a developed, civilized and well-governed system. If any change is to be made in the system or in the rulers, it can be done through democratic means and methods, but dividing the country and creating obstacles in the name of democracy is not acceptable," said Prime Minister Oli. "This government is ready to lead for the defense, development and good governance of the country. . We will always remain steadfast in the path shown by the martyrs.' In the
event, Deputy Prime Ministers of the House of Representatives, Ministers, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, Chief Secretary to the Government, Chief of Army Staff, secretaries and distinguished persons were present.
Earlier, Prime Minister Oli visited the Martyr's Memorial and Martyr's Gate in Lainchour and paid his respects to the martyrs. The Tuesday meeting of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) decided to celebrate this day at the national level.
