Sobita Gautam, Member of Parliament of the National Independent Party, has said that the government is violating human rights by prosecuting the citizens who raised their voice against the government's activities for indecent behavior.

Gautam said that because the government is not able to solve the problems of the citizens, there is a voice of protest and it is wrong to file a case against doing so.

In Tuesday's meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives, MP Gautam said, 'The government has not been able to resolve the issues raised by the citizens. And the citizen may have been presented in an angry manner and being caught in such things and prosecuted for indecent behavior is a violation of human rights.'

MP Gautam was also displeased that the government has widened the practice of arresting first and then prosecuting in court. She said that the government is violating the human rights of citizens and depriving them of their freedom.

'Bail is available in crimes punishable by less than three years, it is the right of everyone . The state can prosecute but only by detaining and when it is necessary according to the law to detain for investigation purposes, the government is misusing the law, detaining until it is an 'excessive right' to detain and barely prosecuting," said Gautam, "this is a serious violation of human rights. yes .'

MP Gautam also said that there is an increase in the trend of getting arrested if someone raises his voice in public. She said, 'The government now has a trend of arresting anyone who speaks, raising questions in public and detaining them for how many days for the investigation process and prosecuting them after a certain period of time . Creating an environment of fear and panic and the government is going through the judicial process. It's not about one person . This is the trend now.'

Member of Parliament Gautam questioned Police Chief Basant Bahadur Kunwar whether the charges brought by the government against the arrested person would be violated if the court did not confirm them. He said that the prosecution should be carried out without keeping the criminals of serious cases.
