Supreme Cooperative Fraud Case: Order to release Ravi Lamichhane on 1 crore bail

The court has ordered Ravi Lamichhane, president of RSVP and former managing director of Gorkha Media Network, to post a bail of Rs 1 crore. After the argument of the defendant's lawyer, Jaherwala and the public prosecutor's counter-argument on Sunday, District Court Rupandehi Judge Pralhad Kumar Yogi ordered a bail of Rs 1 crore.

A case was registered in the Rupandehi District Court on January 6 by making the Supreme Cooperative in Butwal a defendant in the crime of fraud and organized crime. Yagya Murthy Gyawali said that after the statement of Lamichhane on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, the lawyer of the High and District Public Prosecutor's Office, Jaherwala's lawyer and the defendant's lawyer were finished, the order to release him on bail of 1 crore was made.  

District Public Prosecutor Office on January 6  In Rupandehi District Court, a case was registered against 22 people including Lamichhane in Supreme Cooperative fraud and organized crime. In the case, 55 crore 59 lakh 83 thousand 842 rupees were claimed from 28 people including Geetendrababu (GB) Rai, Lamichhane and 10 crore 99 lakhs more bigo from Lamichhane, Chabilal Joshi and Lakshmi Prasad Paudel and 2 crore bigo from Lamichhane personally.

Lamichhane, who was arrested on November 2 in connection with the investigation of Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud in Pokhara, was released by the Kaski District Court on Jan. 25 on a bond of 6.5 million and Swarnalakshmi was released on Jan. 2 on a bond of 6.6 million by the order of Kathmandu District Court in the case of Swarnalakshmi Cooperative fraud.
