A meeting between Home Minister Writer and ADB Director

A meeting was held today between the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and the Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Arno Koswa.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs at Singhdarbar, the Home Minister expressed his gratitude for the contribution of ADB in the construction of physical infrastructure.

In addition, the minister also requested the upgrading of Gaddachouki-Kohalpur section of the East-West highway, assistance in the road construction of the Mahakali Corridor, which has been developed as an important trade point in the Far West, the upgrading of the road from Godavari to Dadeldhura in Kailali, the construction of other physical structures around the Dodhara Chadani dry port, which is in the process of being constructed with Indian assistance. ADB is requested to assist in the construction of a model dry port Did .

In the same way, there was a discussion between the minister and the ADB director Koswa about further continuation of the construction of the modern city that is being built with the help of the ADB in Sudurpaschim Municipality and support for the infrastructure development of the religious tourism area in the Far West.

In the discussion with the ADB representative, the minister emphasized on the implementation of the 'survey report' done by the ADB last year for the tourism development of Far West. Director of ADB  Koswa said that he will discuss the matter with the higher level of ADB and give an answer.
