The supplementary case of Ravi Lamichhane and Chabilal Joshi related to the misappropriation of Supreme Cooperative funds will be sent to the district court by the District Public Prosecutor's Office today. Additional prosecution cases against 17 people including GB Rai sent earlier are also being filed in the court.
The supplementary prosecution case against 14 people, including Ravi and Chibi, which was supposed to be registered on Thursday itself, was stopped due to lack of time. However, on Friday, the public prosecutor's office could not send the supplementary case file to the court after the original file of the case registered in the Ruppandehi District Court was not found. The court said that the entire file of the initial case was sent by post from the Supreme Court, so it took time to arrive.
District Attorney Premraj Paudel of the lawyer's office said that he would send the supplementary case file to the district court within 1 o'clock on Sunday, including Ravi Lamichhane, Chabiraj Joshi, and 14 other defendants. "It is a matter of preparation for the court whether to register or not, we will send it by 1 o'clock today," he said.
There is a delay in registration of the supplementary case against RSVP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and Vice Chairman of Gorkha Media Network and former DIG Chabilal Joshi. According to court sources, after registering the case on Sunday, Ravi Lamichhane has sent a notice to the court that he will appear in court on Monday. Therefore, there is a possibility that the case will be filed and registered on Sunday itself. According to sources, Ravi has given advocate Yagyamani Neupane to coordinate the lawyers who will argue on his behalf. The list of lawyers will be ready by Sunday evening. After that, preparations are being made for Ravi Bhairahawa to arrive by ship on Monday morning.
On 3rd May 2081, the first case related to Supreme Cooperative fraud was registered in Rupandehi court. Lamichhane was the home minister at that time. The police had not registered a case against him. The Public Prosecutor's Office had filed a case against 28 people including Supreme Cooperative's founding chairman and current patron Gitendrababu (GB) Rai, Supreme's current chairman Omprakash Gurung, Kumar Ramtel, Sagar KC. Ravi and Chibi were not involved in the case. Because he was the Home Minister, the police could not investigate and charge him in the case.
On Thursday, the public prosecutor's office sent 17 people including Rai to the court for co-operative fraud, organized crime and more. According to the supplementary complaint on Thursday, the police, who had prepared to register a supplementary case against 14 people, including Ravi and Chibi, registered a cooperative fraud and organized crime case against 17 people from the initial case on Thursday. Organized crime and an additional sum of 27 million rupees have been demanded. In the initial case, it was 1.3 billion begos, now preparations are being made to register the case by demanding 27 million begos against 28 people and 7 million against 14 people in the supplementary complaint. There are 1 thousand 872 complaints from Supreme Cooperative. Research has shown that 10,391 savers of Supreme Cooperative have embezzled 1.31 billion.
