Deputy Speaker Indira Rana has said that the relationship between Nepal and China is a top priority. Addressing the parade program held in Kathmandu on the occasion of Chinese New Year, Vice President Rana expressed the opinion that since there is a harmonious and problem-free relationship between the two countries, they are giving high priority.

Nepal and China have close, friendly and historic relations. The roots of our relationship are deep and multi-faceted,' she said, 'We are very happy with the harmonious and problem-free relationship between the two countries and we give high importance and priority to the relationship with China.' 

Deputy Speaker Rana also reiterated that Nepal has always been a strong supporter of the one-China policy. "Nepal has always been a strong supporter of the one-China policy and will continue to be committed to it in the future," she said. She also said that Nepal will always appreciate China's unconditional respect for Nepal's sovereignty, geographical integrity and independence. 

Relations with China are a top priority: Deputy Speaker Rana Likewise, she discussed that the two countries have achieved historic progress and dynamics in bilateral relations through regular exchange of high-level visits and programs. Deputy Speaker Rana expressed the view that she wants to speed up the implementation of the Trans Himalayan Platform to expand the communication between China and Nepal, South Asia, South East Asia and other countries in Central Asia.

China's Ambassador Chhan Song said that the parade organized during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of China-Nepal diplomatic relations and the Chinese New Year is of special importance and expressed his belief that it will be an excellent opportunity to advance the close and continuously growing relationship between the two countries. On that occasion, a presentation reflecting the diverse cultures of China and Nepal was also shown.
