The process for water supply has started in areas including the residences of federal government ministers and state chief ministers at Bhainsepati in Lalitpur. Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited under the Ministry of Water Supply, Federal Government has started the tendering process for supplying water to various places in Lalitpur district.
Earlier there was no supply of drinking water to ministerial residence Bhainsepati and other places. Under the direction of Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav, the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited has started the bidding process for the construction of water supply projects at eight locations in Lalitpur district, according to the Ministry of Water Supply.
In the bids invited by Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-18, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-18 with minister residence in Sambu Bhainsepati, Magargaon, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-14, Budhamarg, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-15, Eulens School, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-17, Bafal , Lalitpur Municipal Corporation-26, Chokhel, Lalitpur Municipal Corporation-15, Shantinagar Micropark, Lalitpur Metropolitan City- 8, 9 Bojepokhari and Balkumari Bridge have invited bids for the construction of drinking water at a total of eight places, according to Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited. Under the
scheme, the goal has been taken to provide clean and sustainable drinking water to the common people by building the necessary infrastructure for water supply in those places. Ashok Kumar Paudel, executive director of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KUKL), informed that the project aims to improve the supply of drinking water especially in urban and semi-urban areas. He said, "Limited has been requested to submit bids on time to eligible companies for this work."
