Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala, who is on a visit to the UK, met with Alex Baker, Chairman of the British Parliament's All-Party Parliamentary Committee on Nepal.

In the meeting held at the Nepali Embassy in London, Koirala asked Baker to solve the problem related to the service facilities of Bhupu Gurkha soldiers and take initiative for British Airways' London-Kathmandu direct flight. In addition, he emphasized on British support to deal with the crisis in Nepal due to climate change.  

Nepal's mountains are becoming ugly due to melting snow. Due to climate change, the damage that Nepal is suffering. For that, Nepal should get compensation,' Koirala told Baker, 'Britain should help in this.' Acting Ambassador to Britain Bipin Duwadi was also present in the meeting.
