President Ramchandra Paudel has issued 'Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to land, 2081'. Spokesperson of the President's Office Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai has informed that the land ordinance has been issued on Wednesday.

According to Article 114 of the Constitution of Nepal, the President has issued the ordinance on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

Council of Ministers has recommended 5 ordinances including this, 4 ordinances have already been issued . The President blocked the proposed amendment of some Nepal Acts, including the Land Act, 2021, the Forest Act, 2075 and the National Park Act, 2029. In this ordinance, President Paudel stopped it saying that it could be misused after a new arrangement was put in place to give the land of parks and forest areas to individuals .

Suspicion was raised that topics such as real estate transactions, apartments, and housing were also included in the ordinance.
