Kathmandu District Court order to release Ravi Lamichhane on bail

The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party and former Home Minister, who was arrested in the co-operative fraud, on bail.

The bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari has ordered that Lamichhane be released on a bond of 6 million.

The Kathmandu District Court has ordered Lamichhane to be released on bail in the case of misappropriating the savings of Swarnalakshmi Sahakari located in Kathmandu Kalimati. Lamichhane, who appeared in court last Sunday, had a statement and a custody debate. 

Lamichhane is accused of taking the funds of Swarnalaxmi Sahakari to Gorkha Media Network.  

Lamichhane was arrested by the police and taken to Kaski on 2nd Kartik on the charge of misappropriating the funds of cooperatives in different districts to Gorkha media network. The Kaski District Court ordered him to be released on a bond of 65 lakhs.
