The Promotion Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended 25 Superintendents of Police from the post of Superintendent of Police (SP) for promotion to the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). The meeting held on January 29 recommended them for promotion to the district police group of Nepal Police.

According to which the Nepal Police Headquarters Investigation Plan and Development  Ramesh Thapa working in Directorate Naxal is at the first number of the list . 

Then Ajay KC, Anupam Shamsher Jabra, Bir Bahadur Budhamgar, Navraj Adhikari, Krishna Prasad Koirala, Hobindra Bogti, Krishna Prasad Pangeni, Gobind Adhikari, Binod Silwal, Shyam Kumar Mahato, Bed Bishta, Shivkumar Shrestha, Prakash Malla, Shantiraj Koirala, Janardan. GC, Ranju Sigdel, Santosh Khadka, Santosh Kumar Bhattarai, Rajendra Prasad Dhamala, Santosh Singh Rathore, Sanjay Singh Thapa, Bimal Raj Kandel, Mahendra Khadka and Prabhu Prasad Dhakal have been recommended for promotion. The promotion committee has recommended them as per sub-rule 4 of rule 27 of Police Rules, 2071.
