Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has clarified that there is no word "loan" in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) agreement of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during his visit to China.

In Monday's meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, Minister Rana also said that there is no binding condition that the loan must be taken as soon as the BRI is signed.

The Congress MPs raised questions in the parliamentary committee saying that the BRI loan was signed. Prime Minister Oli should be called to the parliamentary committee and asked about the BRI agreement, and the documents of BRI should be given officially. In response to

, Foreign Minister Rana said that the BRI agreement was made after studying it thousands of times. 'BRI is a document that has been studied and changed 20,000 times. It is much modified from the previous document . The word 'loan' is not there in the document as you read it,' said Rana, 'it says 'grant and aid'. The words grant and ed are not different from the English I understand and Google search .'

Minister Rana also said that if they need to understand more about BRI, they are ready to call the MPs to the ministry and clarify. He  She thought that she was ready to explain 'A to Z'. Minister Rana clarified that it has been clarified to get explanations from officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, legal experts and experts on BRI at the international level.
