Congress MP Bimalendra Nidhi has demanded that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should be called to the parliamentary committee and made to explain about the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) agreement during his visit to China.
After Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba informed about Prime Minister Oli's visit to China and America, MP Nidhi demanded that Prime Minister Oli himself come and inform the Parliament and the Parliamentary Committee.
In Monday's meeting of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives, MP Nidhi said that during the Prime Minister's visit to China, the ruling Congress and UML had promised that Oli would not agree to take loans under BRI, but it did not work according to it, and he should make it clear to the parliamentary committee. Nidhi says that it is not right to make a commitment not to take a loan in the meeting of the ruling party and to make an agreement at the end during the visit to China.
