Former Speaker and Vice President of CPN (Maoist Center) Agni Prasad Sapkota has objected to the fact that the Parliament session was not convened. Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Sunday, former speaker Sapkota expressed his anger that the parliament session was not called.
Parliament is an important institution of any country. This sends a very big message of powerful governance. Have we been able to give such a message? We have been able to resonate with the entire nation. The president is born from that parliament, the vice president, the prime minister, the chief justice are born, the president is born. Such an organization should not be kept like that,' he said.
When he was the speaker of the assembly and also at other times, the session was convened until December 28, Sapkota questioned why it was so late now. Even when I was the speaker, the parliament resumed till 28th of December. There is no such thing as calling so late. Why was the parliament not called? In fact, this is not what I am saying, it is open to the general public as well. That reason has not been discovered,' he said.
